This program is part of Kentucky Legends, a series exploring our state's culture, history, and lore.
In Kentucky today, there are more than 90,000 people who identify as American Indian. This group is highly diverse in language, traditional clothing, and food as well as geographic origin. However, there are issues that affect all American Indians regardless of their culture. This presentation will discuss these laws and other contemporary issues such as recognition, stereotyping, and cultural appropriation with which American Indians deal on a daily basis.
