3D Printed Photos Session #2

Learn the basics of photoshop and 3D printing in the Northside Digital Studio! Bring a photo (digital or physical) from your summer, and we'll teach you how to turn it into a 3D printed keepsake.

Join us to learn the basics of photoshop in this two hour workshop in the Northside Digital Studio! Bring in a photo that was the highlight of your summer.

Together we'll learn core photoshop skills such as background removal, object removal and replacement, color correcting, straightening and cropping. Once we have edited your photo we'll use the digital studio's 3D printers to create a lithophone (a physical image that is hidden until light is shined through it) to set on a desk, shelf, cabinet or anywhere you want to remember your summer that was!

[Note: Lithophanes take longer to print than we have time for during the class. Digital Studio Associate will print your lithophane to be picked up at your convenience. All attendees will get not only the digital edit of their photo but the physical lithophane, a base to stand it up, and a small electric light to light up the image).
