The book selected for February 27 is "The Wishing Game" by Meg Shaffer.

A young woman’s dreams are in the  hands of an eccentric author.Lucy Hart is a 26-year-old kindergarten teacher’s assistant, desperate to adopt her orphaned former student, Christopher Lamb. Unfortunately, she lacks the  funds. When Lucy wins a chance to compete in a game  devised by reclusive children’s book  author Jack Masterson, she hopes the  competition will be the  answer to her problems.

The daytime book discussion group at Beaumont meets two Tuesday mornings a month, except around the holidays. Titles selected for reading include fiction as well as non-fiction, and are usually supplied by the library. The reading schedule is subject to change due to availability of titles. For more information please contact the library at (859) 231-5500 and press 3 to reach the Beaumont Branch.
