Film screening and talkback with director Tim Kirkman and author Silas House
Loggerheads is a 2005 independent film written and directed by Tim Kirkman.
Three stories converge in a surprising way. Elizabeth Austin, wife of Reverend Robert Austin, pines for the son who fled their religious household. Grace Bellamy, now in her 40s, wonders about the son she gave up for adoption. And kindhearted AIDS sufferer Mark falls in love with motel owner George while trying to come to the rescue of some loggerhead turtles. Loggerheads is an understated, quietly moving character study, bolstered by great performances.
Part of Celebrating Pride Month Film Festival, New York Times bestselling author Silas House introduces the film with a talkback with the director Tim Kirkman after.
