Theatre Dance & Drama for Adults Meet our Trailblazers! This program is part of Art Beat, a weeklong celebration of the arts in Lexington.
Meet our Trailblazers! This special Theatre Dance Performance Group is part of our Education and Outreach departments. They train with us in a weekly class and perform monthly throughout the region. Take in their performance, and then get on your feet with us to try some moves!? After we dance a bit, we'll switch gears to a theatre and acting workshop. Joining us at ArtBeat is a perfect way to sample some of our weekly class offerings and upcoming summer camps at The Lexington Theatre Company.
The Lexington Theatre Company is Central Kentucky's premiere professional regional theatre.? Offerings include Mainstage Productions featuring Broadway veterans, rising stars and local professionals; a robust Education department?(the Artist Development Program) which provides classes in music, theatre, and dance to students ages 3 through adults 55+; an outstanding Outreach program partnering with numerous schools and organizations across the Bluegrass to share the power and magic of musical theatre.? The Lexington Theatre Company believes that "Musicals Make Life Better" and provides numerous opportunities for artists from across the region and across the country to have a space to play, create, and enjoy masterful storytelling.
Feel the pulse of creativity by joining us at Lexington Public Library for a week-long celebration of artistic expression filled with workshops, demonstrations, and performances tailored to a wide range of age groups and interests. Each day we will celebrate a different art form, including written and spoken word, drama, dance, visual arts, and music.
