Enjoy the picture book "There Was a Party for Langston." Then celebrate poet Langston Hughes with writing and crafts. For grades K-5 and their families. No registration required.

We will read the picture book "There Was a Party for Langston" and learn about Langston Hughes. Children will use magnetic poetry to create their own work, and engage in other writing activities. They also will decorate crowns to celebrate the "King of Letters," as the book calls Hughes.
