This program is part of Undesign the Redline.
In "Lexington, Kentucky: Segregated by Design," the presenters, Barbara Sutherland and Rona Roberts, document and share examples of local policies and actions that perpetuated segregation, including racially restrictive deed covenants, redlining, steering by realtors, planning and zoning practices, and destruction of neighborhoods through "urban renewal." They will also show the ongoing impact those past policies have on our community today.
This program is part of Undesign the Redline, an interactive exhibit exploring the history of structural racism and inequality.
