Join us for hands-on heart activities and learn about Daniel Hale Williams, the first person to successfully perform open-heart surgery and founder of the first black-owned hospital. For ages 8-17.
We will have special guest Uneeda K. Bryant, DVM Associate Professor of Veterinary Pathology and Veterinary Pathologist at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Bryant will be bringing heart specimens for participants to get an up close look!
Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between 3:30-5:30 pm and stay as little or as long as you would like!
Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
