A 60-minute feature documentary by Lexington filmmaker Eli Scarr, Translator for Peace details the life of United Nations translator Tracy Ansell, whose professional career led her from the UN Operation in the Congo (1960) to the UN Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and ultimately the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean headquarters in Santiago, Chile. Interviews recorded in 2015 reveal Ms. Ansell's remarkable life experience as well as her keen interest in the study of language and linguistics.
