Join Alyssa Ollier from the Kentucky Historical Society for this workshop covering basic digitization and digital preservation.
Alyssa Ollier is the Digital Archivist at the Kentucky Historical Society (KHS). She is responsible for creating, maintaining, and sharing KHS’s digital resources and collections. Alyssa has a deep passion for books and manuscripts, and she enjoys using technology to help others engage with historical materials. At KHS, she is often found digitizing items from the archives, adding to the online collections, or assisting patrons in the Martin F. Schmidt Research Library. https://history.ky.gov/
The Northside Digital Studio can convert physical media for audio (cassette tapes and vinyl records), video (VHS and VHS-C), and photo (film negatives, pictures, slides, sketches and art) into digital formats. Alyssa will discuss how best to preserve your family media. Feel free to bring your own physical media to work with in the Digital Studio after Alyssa's presentation.
